Worked example: an L-shaped paver patio

Measure three sections and turn a 304-square-foot footprint into pavers, base, sand, and edge restraint.

This is a hypothetical measurement example, not a completed customer project or a construction specification.

How the estimate is built

  1. The two included rectangles total 320 sq ft; subtract the 16 sq ft planter to get 304 sq ft.
  2. The paver count uses each paver’s face area, then adds the chosen 10% allowance and rounds up.
  3. Base and sand use their own finished depths. The loose base order includes separate compaction and waste allowances.

Before buying
